From 6 to 9th November 2018, a High-Level US Business Association, Research and Innovation Network, and Cluster Mission to the EU, organised by the BILAT USA 4.0 program, seeks to support transatlantic cooperation for strategic Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) and business partnerships.

This is a unique opportunity for US business associations, research and innovation networks and clusters looking to cooperate with EU clusters and networks, as the selected participants will visit cluster organisations and participate in networking workshops in multiple European cities.  As part of this mission, a U.S.-EU knowledge-sharing roundtable will be organised to present experiences of existing EU-US cluster collaborations and to exchange good practices regarding industry internationalisation capacities development. Three days of the mission will be dedicated to visits to cluster organizations and RDI members in several EU countries (Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, The Netherlands).

This mission targets representatives from US clusters, business associations and research and innovation networks from different industry sectors such as:

  • Clean Energy
  • Clean Tech
  • Sustainability
  • Smart Cities
  • E-mobility, Transport
  • Other sectors / key enabling technologies which present opportunities for collaboration involving the above sectors.

In order to participate in the mission, you must submit a formal application. The call for expression of interest, application, and a draft agenda are available below. Several cluster visits have been confirmed; the agenda indicates those visits that are still tentative. Applications are due by 16th September 2018 midnight (EDT).
